Another conflict that happened is when Mattie Babcock and Rick Sanders were put up on the couples board for the Senior Ball. A new piece of paper had been added. It scribbled- and clearly a joke. It bore the let on calling of Rick Sanders and Mattie Babcock.(Page 40). Everyone was making fun of this, because people design that it was so funny that Rick was taking Mattie.
